Introducing our new Music Director, Razvan Luculescu

 

 

Russkaya Cappella are very pleased to announce the appointment of Razvan Luculescu as our new Music Director.

 

Razvan graduated in Orchestral Conducting at the National Music University in Bucharest and attended a Conducting Master Class in Vienna in 2009, where he had the chance to conduct Sinfonia Baden.  As a conductor, he embraced both the operatic and symphonic repertoire, and has worked with the National Operetta Theatre in Bucharest, Oleg Danovski National Opera Theatre in Constanta, Pitesti Philharmonic, Campina Philharmonic Society, Oltenia Philharmonic Craiova, UCD Symphony Orchestra in Dublin, Glasgow Sinfonia and Glasgow Chamber Orchestra. He has also freelanced as a repetiteur for many instrumental and vocal soloists.

 

In 2010, Razvan moved to Scotland, where he currently works as a Musical Director for Falkirk Festival Chorus, Organist and Musical Director at Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church in Glasgow. He has also been appointed as pianist for the Glasgow Ballet Studio and accompanist for East Renfrewshire School Choirs, Bridge of Weir Choral Society and Strathaven Choral Society.

 

Razvan began work as Music Director of Russkaya Cappella in September 2021 and will conduct the choir at their first concert in December 2021.
